CPE Criteria for Members
 
 
Annual CPD Requirements

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has been made mandatory for all ICAB Members from October 1998. CPD requirements for different class of members are as follows:

1 Practicing Members

(residing in Bangladesh)
A minimum of 12 hours per year of participation in accredited CPD activities in Bangladesh and/or abroad
2

Non Practicing Members

(residing in Bangladesh)

A minimum of 10 hours per year of participation in accredited CPD activities in Bangladesh and/or abroad

Members Residing Abroad

(  Practicing / Non-practicing)

A minimum of 8 hours per year of participation in accredited CPD activities in Bangladesh and/or abroad
4

Eligibility for upgradation

(From ACA to FCA membership)

An aggregate of 60 hours in five years from the date of commencement of Associate membership to date of convention to Fellow membership

Exemption from CPE Requirements:

     

  • Members who are ill and incapacitated and are unable to undertake their nor work;

     

  • Members who have retired from full-time work; and

     

  • Members who reside in places (outside Bangladesh) where CPD programme facilities are not available
