ICAB Collaboration with Different Universities

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh has taken various initiatives to attract the brilliant students of reputed universities (mainly from accounting and finance departments) and professionals of different professional institutes in CA Profession. Accordingly, ICAB has developed Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) policy for providing some subject exemptions in Certificate Level of CA examination. After detail scrutiny, subject mapping and GPA analysis by a strong resource pool, ICAB intends to facilitate the graduates and/or the post graduates of the following universities in acquiring their CA professional qualification through Memorandum of Understanding (MoU):

Following conditions will be applicable for claiming exemptions:

 

  • After fulfilling certain CGPA and subject GPA requirement students would avail the exemption facility.
  • Further, the students will be entitled to complete mandatory training/ Articleship from any ICAB's approved CA Firm; during this period or after which they will appear and complete the remaining papers in order to qualify as, Chartered Accountants.
  • Students will make an exemption application to ICAB along with the following documents:

 

  •          Certificate from the respective department;
  •          Duly attested copy of Official Transcript;
  •          Photocopy of the ICAB registration card.

       

       

To initiate the good relationship and fruitful cooperation and to accelerate development of the accountancy profession similar type of arrangement with some other prominent universities is under process.
