        ICAB Conference on ‘Importance of Life Skills Course for Human Resource Development’

                                The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) organised a Members’ Conference on ‘Importance of Life Skills Course                                       for Human Resource Development’ on 2 April 2019 at its Auditorium. Neaz Ahmed, Sr. Faculty Member & Dean, Future CEO Program presented the Key Note paper on ‘Importance of Life Skills Course for Human Resource Development’. Muhammed Farhad Hussain FCA, Partner, Hussain Farhad & Co., Chartered Accountants & Past President-ICAB was the Session Chairman.

 

Ahmed Baree, Vice President & Dean, WSDA, New Zealand gave a presentation on emotional intelligence and conducted a practical demonstration with participation from the audience.  He also described how to manage the work place stress.

 

Mr. Farhad said, life skill or soft skill is one of the essential elements to become success in career. Only training and practical life experience can enhance the skill. You have to earn this skill from the cradle-to-grave throughout your whole life, he added.

 

ICAB President AF Nesaruddin said, this session would help our members how to use emotional intelligence in work place to achieve the desire goals. To become a leader of any organization, it is required to acquire soft skill that is IT and Communication skills. Our members definitely understand the necessity of soft skills and it could be developed through training and practical life experience, he added. ICAB council member Gopal Chandra Gosh FCA extended the concluding remarks. ICAB secretary Major General Muhammad Imrul Quayes, ndc, psc (Retd) also spoke on the occasion.
