The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) is the National Professional Accounting Body in Bangladesh, established under the Bangladesh Chartered Accountants Order, 1973 (President's Order No. 2 of 1973). for the purpose of regulating the profession of accountants and for matters connected therewith.
Dhaka Regional Committee (DRC) is a "Committee", formed under clause 56 of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) Bye-Laws 1973 which is subsequently replaced by clause 93(1) b of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh Bye-Laws 2004.
Its territorial jurisdiction is all locations including Overseas CHapters of ICAB except Chittagong Regional Committee which comprises the geographical boundary of Chittagong Division including Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT).
